SnapYT is a conversion tool, not a library. We don't host or upload videos; we convert what a user points us at, on demand. We still take copyright seriously, and here's how to raise a concern.
How SnapYT works
When you paste a link, our servers fetch that video from YouTube and convert it. We keep no browsable catalogue. Converted files are cached briefly to speed up repeat requests, then deleted.
Your responsibility
Anyone using SnapYT agrees to convert only material they have the right to save. Using it to copy protected work without permission is against our Terms and may be unlawful.
Reporting a concern
If you believe your copyrighted work is being infringed through SnapYT, email [email protected]. Identify the work, describe the issue, and include your contact details and a statement that you're the rights holder or authorised to act for them. We review reports and act on valid ones.
What we can do
Because we don't host content, there's usually nothing stored to take down; a cached file expires on its own. Where appropriate we'll remove a cached item and take reasonable steps to address a valid complaint.
