The service

SnapYT is a free tool that converts YouTube videos into audio and video files. It's provided as-is, with no promise it will always be up, fast, or able to handle every video. We run it on donations and may change or retire features at any time.

Your responsibility

You're responsible for what you convert. Only convert material you own, that's public domain, or that you have the right to save.

Downloading copyrighted content without permission may break the law and YouTube's Terms, and that's on you, not the tool. Don't use SnapYT to infringe anyone's rights or for anything unlawful.

No abuse

Don't overload, scrape, or automate the service beyond normal personal use. We use bot protection and rate limits to keep it running for everyone.

Supporter donations

Supporter access comes through Ko-fi donations, with Ko-fi as the processor. A donation converts to a number of supporter days as shown on the site. Because these are donations for optional perks, they're generally non-refundable, but if something clearly went wrong, email us and we'll make it right.

No warranty

SnapYT is provided without warranties of any kind. We aren't liable for any loss from using it, including a failed conversion. Use it at your own discretion.

Changes

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Continuing to use SnapYT after a change means you accept it.
